White bike across a Dark Path

The excitement today was to get in two rides on my new bicycle. I am the proud owner of a white 29″ Surly Pugsley, a bike like you’ve probably never seen.

In looking at this bike I have to wonder, how much does it weigh? I can’t find specs online on how much it weighs with those giant tires. Perhaps it does not matter. I am not one of those weigh everything kind of guys. But I will admit on the Trail I spent much of every day wondering how I could get my pack lighter. But for good reason. My current bike, 20″, weighs 28lbs.

It weighs 35 pounds, but climbs better than lightweight bikes due to the massive contact point with the low pressure 4″ tires. It is a tractor, that takes the low path, you just keep pedaling.
