I’ve received numerous comments from my post about the arrest of Christopher Knight, now dubbed “The North Pond Hermit”. Here’s an update on his continued resistance to connecting to a society he walked away from decades ago.

I have to admit, I have been on long distance backpacking trips and there was a period 2012 in NC when I went 36 hours without passing a single person on the A,T. in North Carolina( I think the extreme heat kept all the sane people off the trail) and I do Asian travel in areas where I don’t speak the language all that well.

    So – I am not a stranger to the idea of being happy with being by yourself. But this guy brings it to a whole new level –
