I live here in rural Maine, and am proud of it. I am 57 years old, semi-retired, and still trying to figure many things out. This web log is the outcome of my 2007 thru-hike of the Appalachain Trail, where I completed a daily on-line account of my trip through my Trailjournal . I miss my daily writing . So I think this might be a place to keep up with my thoughts about hiking, backpacking, and bring in the outdoors as much as possible. I also want to get some interesting dialogue going through e-mail and web comments. I promise to do my share and will give this thing a go for a month or so and then see what I want to do.
